What do you say to an adventure

A headlong departure to the destroyed wastelands of my heart.

Depart now from the cave inside my mind where you languish with my imagination

Leave behind these clean clear fevered longings

Onward to the holocaustic place

I’ll leave you a key

And I’ll let you see

It all

Everything

Every scar

Every empty eyed sacrifice

What do you say to an adventure

Will you walk the places no one goes anymore

Will you run through the mazes and shout your victories to my old tired demons?

Go now from the lush valleys where you think I end

Go to the deep dark where me begins

Aching beauty of these forbidden places

Myriad sylvan spaces

Complex and labyrinthine

I’ll leave you a key

And I’ll let you see

Run with the beasts free

Just be

What do you say to an adventure?

Unveil hidden cults

You already the God of their Idolatry

The shadow of your voice rings

Echoes like high sacred hymns

And when you flee

At least I can say

I left you a key

I let you see

And with good reason

You went away

What do you say to an adventure?
